Name Courtney TownsendAbout I am an Alberta based photographer. I specialize in equestrian, landscape and human photography. Since I began pursuing photography in 1999, my work has consistently attempted to capture the spirit that I believe lies within everything. This is sometimes astoundingly beautiful or astoundingly strange. The lessons and reminders of nature and her creatures interest me. I believe my photographs are most successful when they show beauty but also evoke a sense of wonder and mysteriousness. I want my photographs to offer people a world they don’t normally see; that world may be physical or it may lie within the individual. I work with film and digital. Corporate clients include Cowboys & Indians Magazine, Canadian Security Magazine, Fatigue Art Magazine, DiggerMag, Conscious Alterations and PhotoLife.
